Lili K’s newest single, “Magic” is out today. On the music side as usual with the talented Lili K it’s got great jazz influenced vocals but a driving rhythm section that makes you want to inadvertently head nod and up the bass. As far as the topic is concerned it tackles the hyper masculinity that women deal with that often feels like an attack. “If I tell you to smile, don’t be a bitch about it” she sings during the breakdown, summing up how often the world expects women to be objects but not people. It’s just a great track from beginning to end and well worth the listen.
