James Murphy has to be bored. After fronting the seminal LCD Soundsystem which singlehandedly put NYC dance rock on it’s back for a decade, he’s been linked to a few wacky projects. When he’s not trying to make New York City Subway Turnstiles into instruments he’s turning sport sounds into music. During the US Open he teamed up with IBM to “turn real-time UYS Open tennis match data into music with the IBM cloud”. After having thousands of snippets, in between mimosas it looks like Mr.Murphy has cobbled them into a solid project. The imaginatively named “Remixes Made With Tennis Data” is an EP out this today, and we’ve got a song from it below.
