Hot Chip is a pretty underrated band. For over a decade they’ve been making dance music cool for indie rock kids. Sure they came around when dance punk was in full swing and hipsters loved to dance around in dirty white jeans. But something about their sound; an unabashed love of electronics, house beats and 80’s R&B(particularly Prince) always made their love of dance music more genuine then their peers. There’s a reason why they shared band members with another little rock band that liked to make the cool kids dance around that time.
