What this mixtape isn’t. An awesome collaboration between Mr.Green and the avant garde indie band TV On the Radio. What it is? Cee Lo Green back in soulman mode and killing it over samples from classic television theme songs like Taxi and Knight Rider. While some of these tracks flirt with other genre’s that Cee Lo bends his voice to (his dip into country on “Big Girls” is surprisingly solid) this mixtape has him mostly in 60’s and 70’s R&B singer mode and he thrives in it. It’s a nice return to form after he seemed to let stupid tweets get in the way. Listen below:
