
On Wednesday, April 8th the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles will play host to The Concert For Social Justice. The event will feature legendary rockers Jackson Browne, David Crosby & Graham Nash and Melissa Etheridge along with Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine, Audio Slave) Grammy winners La Santa Cecilia and Ghanaian singer Rocky Dawuni. Beyond music there will be spoken word performances by actors/ social activists Martin Sheen and Alfre Woodard, among others.
Proceeds from the concert, put on by the Grammy Museum in partnership with the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Human Rights, will fund their joint education program, Speak Up, Sing Out, encouraging middle and high school students to become engaged in human rights issues by writing songs addressing the social issues they’re most passionate about. A truly worthy endeavor that is guaranteed to be a memorable night.
