The album transitions perfectly from lounge to funk, making me instantly fall in love with it’s production. The vocals lend themselves to a cool melodic sick beat that can place you in the right vibe, whether in a lounge decompressing after a long days work or getting in a touch or romance with your significant other. The rhythmic risk taken are not overtly thrown in your face, but at the same time remind you that your ears have never experienced such mind boggling sounds by one world’s most renowned producers among us today. It’s only fitting that this eargasmic perception of sound comes from a sound artist who hails from New Zealand and now is living in a Los Angeles. If you’ve never heard of MdCL, I guarantee you’ve heard his music, and loved it.
