There are loads of Italian restaurants in the East Village. Choosing one basically comes down to ambiance at a certain point because they are all actually pretty amazing.
If you’re looking for a romantic spot, definitely give In Vino a try. It’s on a quiet block on 4th Street and is super cozy and intimate. The wine list is very good, as you can imagine, and the food was exactly what I wanted. As per usual, we started off with the burrata which was a bit unusual as it had some sweetness to it. But the burrata itself was incredible.
For my entree I got a dish that reminded me of what I had at Supper, pretty much exactly. It was fettuccine with mushrooms in a slightly creamy sauce. It was out of this world and I’m wishing I was eating it right this minute.
