Hotel bars can be really hit or miss. Usually they are not my scene at all–they tend to be expensive and stuffy. But exploring around Tribeca, a neighborhood that I’m beginning to discover more and more, I came to the Roxy Hotel and knew this wasn’t just any overpriced hotel bar.
The vibe isn’t straight up hotel–it seems more like a bar than a hotel actually but what really blew me away was the hotel itself. The architecture is amazing–the way you can see the hallways if you look to the ceiling. It is a beautiful place to have a drink and I’m so curious as to what the rooms look like.
Price wise it was pretty much what you would expect–a little expensive but nothing incredibly outrageous. This would be a great place if you’re having dinner in the area and want to get a drink beforehand or if you have friends from out of town who appreciate unique buildings. I would absolutely come back to this spot–I almost forgot that I was in a hotel. And that’s how I prefer hotel bars.
