So yes, it’s true. The Couch Sessions loves covering it’s food and drink festivals. And it’s not just because of the libations (I swear!). It’s also because there is no other place in to sample some of the best wines and foods from all over the world.
The upcoming New York Wine Winter Festival is no exception. The annual event, taking place at the Playstation Theatre in Times Square goes down this weekend, with both afternoon and evening tastings. Featuring over 250+ wines from all over the world (including the wine regions of Bordeaux, Napa, and Barossa Valley (Australia) among others. Personally, I’m looking for a rose from the Provence region of France (don’t sleep on those!), but I don’t plan to be picky.
Festival organizers are striving to bring some of the most unique wines to the event, giving us wannabe sommeliers the opportunity to sample selections that we can’t find at the local liquor store.

The New York Winter Wine Festival is this Saturday, February 6th. Click here for more information and tickets.
