What better thing is there to celebrate than the craftsmanship of barbecue? On June 13-14, Madison Square Park will fill up for the 13th year in a row with crowds ready to fill up their bellies with barbecue prepared by pitmasters from all over the country.
The pitmaster lineup includes: Jean-Paul Bourgeois (Blue Smoke, New York, NY), Mike Emerson (Pappy’s Smokehouse, St. Louis, MO), Jimmy Hagood (Black Jack Barbecue, Charleston, SC), Chris Lilly (Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q, Decatur, AL), Patrick Martin (Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint, Nashville, TN), Wayne Mueller (Louie Mueller Barbecue, Taylor, TX), Garry Roark (Ubon’s Barbeque of Yazoo, Yazoo City, MS), Drew Robinson (Jim N’ Nick’s Bar-B-Que, Birmingham, AL), John Wheeler (Memphis Barbecue Co., Horn Lake, MS), John Stage (Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, New York, NY), Scott Roberts (The Salt Lick Bar-B-Que, Driftwood, TX), Brad Orrison (The Shed Barbeque & Blues Joint, Ocean Springs, MS), Mike Mills (17th Street Barbecue, Murphysboro, IL), Tim Love (The Woodshed Smokehouse, Dallas/Fort Worth, TX), Samuel Jones (Skylight Inn, Ayden, NC), Charles Grund Jr. (Hill Country Barbecue Market, New York, NY), Billy Durney (Hometown Bar-B-Cue, Red Hook, NY).
As for the menu, the mouthwatering list rundown: Lamb Brisket with Borracho Beans, Beef Brisket Sandwich with Sweet & Spicy Pickles, Pork Spare Ribs with Pickled Peppers, Smoked Pork Hot Links with Pimento Cheese, and much more.
